Prerequisites

You should have a working knowledge of either C++ or Fortran in order to be able to understand much of the content in this tutorial.

The following web-based tutorials discuss subjects that are directly relevant to the process of developing an application with the Intel® compilers. These tutorials are recommended, but not required to start using the Intel compilers.

  • The Intel Performance Methodology details the performance tuning methodology used by engineers at the Intel Solution Centers.
  • Getting Started with the VTune™ Performance Analyzer offers a demonstration of the VTune analyzer, and explains the concepts and terms you need to know when tuning your code with the VTune analyzer

Both of these tutorials are available at the Intel Software College.

In addition see the Intel Software Development Products site for the latest information on the Intel compilers.
