Overview

The Intel Compiler Package ID Utility (icid) displays all the compiler package ID information to the standard output.

How to use icid

1. You need to set the Intel compiler environment variables before running icid. You can set them by running one of the following shell scripts:
   • IA-32 C++ compiler: [install-dir]/compiler50/ia32/bin/iccvars.sh
   • IA-32 Fortran compiler: [install-dir]/compiler50/ia32/bin/ifcvars.sh
   • Itanium(TM) C++ compiler: [install-dir]/compiler50/ia64/bin/eccvars.sh
   • Itanium Fortran compiler: [install-dir]/compiler50/ia64/bin/efcvars.sh
2. Default behavior
   icid (same as icid -all) displays ID information for all packages. 
3. Command-line help
   Use icid -help or icid -? to display help information.
4. On IA-32 systems, icid uses the following command-line options:
   • -help, -?: displays help.
   • -icc: displays icc package id information.
   • -ifc: displays ifc package id information.
   • -ecc: displays ecc package id information.
   • -efc: displays efc package id information.
   • -ldb: displays ldb package id information.
   • -subh: displays subheader package id information.
   • -xenv: displays cross compiler package id information.
   • -all or no option: displays all the above packages' ID information.
5. On Itanium(TM)-based systems, icid uses the following command-line options:
   • -help, -?: displays help.
   • -ecc: displays ecc package id information.
   • -efc: displays efc package id information.
   • -xenv: displays cross compiler package id information.
   • -all or no option: displays all the above packages' ID information.
