The CD of IRIS Explorer Release 3.5, initially just available on SG platforms, will be available mid-November when distribution to supported customers will begin. Details of Release 3.5 and an updated on-line (WWW) Reference manual can be found at http://www.nag.co.uk/Welcome_IEC.html
At the recent "Visualisation Tools and Techniques" colloquium organised by NAG the keynote speaker, Dr Ken Brodlie, did a live demonstration of collaborative working using IRIS Explorer with maps being controlled jointly by colleagues in Oxford and Leeds.

NAG and a consortium of users and developers hope to start a European Union funded project called STABLE before the end of 1996 - more details in the next issue and a chance to comment on the proposed developments.
Don't forget the usenet newsgroup comp.graphics.apps.iris-explorer, which is the place to find discussions on the use of the software, together with IRIS Explorer related events.
